International Students Enrollment Information

“Tito Schipa” Conservatory of Music – Lecce 

The enrollment of international students at the "Tito Schipa" Conservatory is governed by the ministerial regulations published annually on the Studiare in Italia website.


1. Non-EU Students Residing Abroad (Visa Applicants)

Non-EU students residing abroad who require a study visa must strictly follow these steps:

  • Universitaly Pre-enrollment: Applications must be submitted exclusively through the UNIVERSITALY portal. The Conservatory will evaluate the online application. If validated, the request is automatically forwarded to the relevant Italian Embassy or Consulate for visa processing.
  • Isidata Registration: In addition to the Universitaly application, students must submit their admission application on the Conservatory’s administrative system (Isidata).
  • Educational Documents: Degrees obtained abroad must be submitted with:
    • An official translation into Italian.
    • Legalization (or Apostille).
    • Declaration of Value (Dichiarazione di Valore) issued by the Italian Embassy/Consulate OR, alternatively, a CIMEA Statement of Comparability (available online).


·         Quotas and Italian language test: admission is subject to the availability of places (quotas) and the successful completion of an Italian language proficiency test (usually at B1/B2 level), in addition to the specific musical entrance examinations.
The Conservatorio di Musica of Lecce, in collaboration with the University of Salento, also offers Italian language courses for international students, in order to support their linguistic and academic integration..

2. EU Students and Equivalent

 

·         This category includes citizens of the European Union, EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), and non-EU citizens officially residing in Italy (holding a valid residence permit for work, family reasons, asylum, etc.).

  • Application Process: They can apply directly to the Conservatory via Isidata, following the same deadlines and conditions as Italian students.
  • Degree Documents: Foreign qualifications must be translated, legalized, and accompanied by a Declaration of Value, a CIMEA Statement, or a Diploma Supplement (for EU degrees).
  • Italian Language Exemption: Students holding an Italian language certificate (level B2 or higher) recognized by the CLIQ system or those who graduated from Italian schools abroad are exempt from the language test.
