The Conservatory of Music “Tito Schipa” of Lecce welcomes incoming students within the Erasmus+ Programme, in accordance with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and the Inter-Institutional Agreements signed with partner institutions.
In the documents attached at the bottom of this page, you can view and download the Bachelor and Master Study Plans available for Erasmus students.
How to Apply
All Erasmus+ incoming student applications must be submitted through the AEC Online Application Platform:

Students should contact their International Office or Erasmus Coordinator if they require support with the application procedure.
Application Deadline
Applications for Erasmus+ incoming mobility must be submitted no later than 30 June of the academic year preceding the planned mobility period.
Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
Documents Required for Application
Applicants must upload the following documents through the AEC Mobility Online Platform.
Mandatory Documents
- Completed Erasmus+ Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Transcript of Records
- Motivation Letter
- Copy of a valid Passport or National ID Card
- Learning Agreement (if available at the application stage)
- Artistic Admission Materials (see requirements below)
Documents may be submitted in English or Italian.
Artistic Admission Requirements
Admission to the Conservatory of Music “Tito Schipa” of Lecce is subject to an artistic evaluation carried out by the relevant academic department.
Applicants must submit audio and/or video materials demonstrating their artistic level and suitability for the chosen programme of study.
General Requirements for Audio/Video Recordings
- Maximum total duration: 15 minutes
- Recordings must be recent
- The applicant must be clearly identifiable
- The programme must include two works of contrasting style
- Each work must be recorded in one uninterrupted take
- No editing is permitted
- Piano accompaniment is recommended where appropriate
- Materials may be submitted through streaming links (YouTube, Vimeo, institutional cloud services, etc.)
Requirements by Study Area
🎤 Vocal Studies (Classical Singing / Jazz Singing)
Applicants must submit:
- Two vocal works of contrasting style and/or historical period
- Classical singers are strongly encouraged to include at least one work in Italian
- Works should be performed from memory whenever stylistically appropriate
🎼 Instrumental Studies
Applicants must submit:
- Two pieces of contrasting style and character from the standard repertoire
- One work should demonstrate technical proficiency
- One work should demonstrate musical expression and stylistic awareness
Scales and technical studies are not required unless specifically requested by the department.
✍️ Composition
Applicants must submit:
- Portfolio of compositions (PDF scores)
- Preferably two compositions of different styles or instrumentations
- Audio recordings or digital renderings when available
- Short description of each work (recommended)
No performance video is required unless specifically requested.
🎧 Electronic Music / Music Technology
Applicants must submit:
- Audio and/or audiovisual works
- Portfolio demonstrating skills in electronic music, sound design, live electronics or multimedia production
- Brief description of software and technologies used
🎷 Jazz Studies / Popular Music
Applicants must submit:
- Two performances of contrasting style
- One performance may include improvisation
- Solo and ensemble performances are accepted
Admission and Selection Procedure
After the application deadline, all materials are reviewed by the relevant departments.
The evaluation process assesses:
- Artistic level and technical competence
- Musical and stylistic awareness
- Academic suitability
- Compatibility with available teaching resources
Important
Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee acceptance.
Final admission depends upon:
- Successful artistic evaluation
- Availability of places within the selected programme
- Approval by the relevant department
- Institutional capacity during the requested mobility period
Evaluations are normally carried out during the summer period, and final decisions are communicated after class allocations have been completed.
Academic Calendar
The academic year officially begins on 2 November.
Incoming students are responsible for ensuring compatibility between their home institution’s academic calendar and that of the Conservatory.

Erasmus+ students may take examinations according to their approved Learning Agreement and departmental availability.

The Conservatory is normally closed during:

From Holy Thursday until the Tuesday following Easter
National Holidays
- 1 November – All Saints’ Day
- 8 December – Immaculate Conception
- 25 April – Liberation Day
- 1 May – Labour Day
- 2 June – Republic Day
Summer Closure
The Conservatory is closed throughout the month of August.
Additional closure days may be communicated during the academic year.
Language Requirements
Teaching activities are mainly conducted in Italian.
A basic knowledge of Italian is therefore strongly recommended.
Some individual lessons, seminars and activities may be offered in English depending on departmental availability.
Italian Language Courses
The Conservatory offers Italian language courses for incoming Erasmus+ students in order to facilitate linguistic integration and participation in academic and artistic activities.
Final Acceptance
Final acceptance is subject to:
- Positive artistic and academic evaluation
- Availability of places
- Approval by the host department
- Completion of all required documentation
